Terms of Service
Effective date: 15 July 2026
1. Introduction and acceptance
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the KRI platform and related services (the "Service"), operated by Iurii Rogulia, a private trader (Finnish toiminimi / sole proprietorship) established in Finland, business ID 2984587-5, registered address Vanhanpellonkatu 5, 53850 LAPPEENRANTA, Finland ("KRI", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, starting a free trial, or subscribing to the Service, you ("you", "the salon", "Customer") agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you accept these Terms on behalf of a business, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that business.
2. Who may use the Service
The Service is intended for beauty and wellness businesses and professionals — including barbershops, nail studios, spas, massage and brow professionals, and solo practitioners — using it for purposes related to their trade or profession. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for all activity under your account.
KRI uses passwordless magic-link sign-in. You are responsible for keeping access to the email address associated with your account secure. Anyone able to receive email at that address may be able to access your account. Notify us promptly at mail@kri.rocks if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.
3. Description of the Service
KRI provides subscription software that lets a salon publish a booking website and accept online appointment bookings from its own customers. The Service may include a public salon page, appointment scheduling, service and staff management, and related tools. KRI provides the software and hosting; the salon is responsible for the beauty and wellness services it offers, delivers, and describes.
We may add, change, or remove features over time. Some features are still under active development and may be offered on a preview, beta, or "as available" basis.
4. Relationship between the salon and its customers
This is important. The Service is a tool that the salon uses to manage its own bookings. When a member of the public books an appointment through a salon's KRI page:
- The booking is a contract between the salon and its customer. KRI is not a party to that contract.
- The salon — not KRI — is solely responsible for describing its services and prices accurately; the qualifications and licensing of its staff; performing the booked services; handling cancellations, no-shows, rescheduling, complaints, refunds, and disputes with its customers; and meeting all consumer-protection, health, safety, hygiene, and professional-licensing obligations that apply to its business under local law.
- KRI does not provide beauty or wellness services, does not set the salon's prices, does not take a booking commission, and does not guarantee that any appointment will be honoured.
- Where the salon collects and uses personal data of its own customers through the Service, the salon acts as the data controller for that data (see Section 13).
The salon must present clear, lawful booking terms and any required information to its own customers. KRI may provide optional templates or guidance, but the salon remains responsible for the terms it presents.
5. Subscription, trial, and pricing
Free trial. New accounts may start a 14-day free trial. No credit card is required to begin the trial. During the trial you can use the paid features described at sign-up. If you do not subscribe to a paid plan, your access to paid features ends when the trial expires, and your public booking page may be deactivated. We may limit trials to one per customer and may modify or withdraw trial offers.
Conversion to paid. The trial does not automatically convert into a paid subscription unless you provide payment details and choose a paid plan. If you add payment details and start a paid subscription during or after the trial, billing begins as described at checkout.
Pricing. Subscription prices are shown in euro (EUR) and vary by country; the applicable price is determined by your country and is displayed before you subscribe. Your plan includes a set number of staff members ("masters"); the current allowance and the additional monthly fee for each master above that allowance are shown at checkout and in your account. Prices are indicative until confirmed at checkout. Unless stated otherwise, prices are shown exclusive of applicable VAT, which is calculated based on your business location and status.
Billing cycle and auto-renewal. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance for each billing period (monthly, or annually where offered) and renew automatically for successive periods at the then-current price until you cancel. By subscribing you authorise us and our payment provider to charge your payment method for each renewal. You can cancel at any time (see Section 7).
Price changes. We may change subscription prices. We will give you reasonable advance notice by email before a price change takes effect, and the new price will apply from your next billing period after the notice. If you do not agree to a price change, you may cancel before it takes effect.
6. Payment
Payments are processed by an external payment provider. By subscribing you agree to that provider's applicable terms in addition to these Terms. You must provide a valid payment method and keep it up to date. If a payment fails, we may retry the charge, and we may suspend or downgrade your account or public booking page until payment succeeds. You are responsible for any taxes applicable to your purchase except taxes on our income. Subscription invoices are made available through the Service or sent by email.
7. Cancellation and effect of cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or the billing portal, or by contacting mail@kri.rocks. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid billing period: you keep access to paid features until then, and you are not charged for the following period. We do not provide pro-rata refunds for the unused part of a period except where required by law (see Section 8) or expressly stated.
After your subscription ends, your public booking page may be deactivated and paid features disabled. We may retain or delete your account data in line with our Privacy Policy and applicable law. You are responsible for exporting any data you wish to keep before your subscription ends, where an export function is available.
8. Refunds and consumer rights
Except where required by mandatory law, subscription fees are non-refundable once a billing period has started. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have that cannot be excluded under mandatory consumer-protection law. If and to the extent you use the Service as a consumer within the meaning of applicable EU law, you may have a statutory right of withdrawal for the online purchase of digital services; where that right applies, we will honour it in accordance with law.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- upload, publish, or transmit content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, deceptive, or that you do not have the rights to use (including photos, logos, and text);
- offer services that are illegal in your jurisdiction, or misrepresent your services, prices, qualifications, or licensing;
- process your own customers' personal data unlawfully, or use the Service in breach of data-protection law;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, disrupt it, probe its security, or circumvent usage limits;
- resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties except to operate your own salon booking page;
- use the Service to send unsolicited communications in breach of applicable law.
You are solely responsible for the content you publish and the communications you send to your customers through the Service. We may remove content or suspend accounts that breach this Section (see Section 15).
10. Your content and licence to KRI
You retain ownership of the content you upload or create through the Service, including your business information, service descriptions, prices, logos, and images ("Customer Content"). You grant KRI a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for formatting and display), and publish your Customer Content solely as needed to operate and provide the Service — including publishing your salon page and processing bookings. This licence ends when you delete the relevant content or your account, except for backups retained for a limited period and content we must keep by law.
You represent that you have all rights necessary to grant this licence and that your Customer Content does not infringe the rights of others.
11. KRI's intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, templates, trademarks, and all related intellectual property, belongs to KRI or its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service during your subscription in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of the Service except as permitted by mandatory law.
12. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties (for example, payment processing by an external provider and infrastructure and communications providers). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
13. Data protection
KRI processes personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. In relation to the personal data your salon collects about its own customers through the Service (for example, booking details), you act as the data controller and KRI acts as a data processor on your behalf; that processing is governed by our Data Processing Agreement, which forms part of these Terms where applicable. You are responsible for having a lawful basis and appropriate notices for the data you collect from your customers.
14. Availability, warranties, and disclaimers
We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but at this stage we do not offer a guaranteed uptime or service-level commitment. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet every requirement of your business. Nothing in this Section limits warranties or rights that cannot be excluded under mandatory law.
15. Suspension and termination by KRI
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, in whole or in part, if you materially breach these Terms (including the acceptable-use section); if payment is overdue; if we are required to do so by law; or if continued provision poses a security, legal, or reputational risk. Where practicable and lawful, we will give you notice and an opportunity to remedy a breach. On termination, your right to use the Service ends and your public booking page may be deactivated.
16. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, KRI is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss; loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, or data; or losses arising from your customers' bookings, no-shows, or disputes (for which the salon is responsible under Section 4). Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in that period. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under mandatory law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will give you reasonable advance notice by email or through the Service before they take effect. If you continue to use the Service after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, you may cancel before they take effect.
18. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you use the Service as a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer-protection rules and the courts available to you under the law of your country of residence; nothing here deprives you of that protection.
19. Miscellaneous
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them to an affiliate or successor. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Data Processing Agreement, and any plan details shown at checkout, are the entire agreement between you and KRI regarding the Service. In case of conflict, the order of precedence is: (1) a signed written agreement, if any; (2) the Data Processing Agreement; (3) these Terms; (4) plan/checkout details.
